第47回日本語弁論大会開催のお知らせ

北加日米会、北加日本語教師会及び在サンフランシスコ日本国総領事館は、第47回日本語弁論大会を以下の通り開催します。本弁論大会は、より多くの皆様に日本語を学習していただき、日頃の学習成果を披露していただくことを目的に行います。参加及び入場は無料です。

日時: 2024年11月3日(日) 午後1時より   中高校生の部(3分以上4分以内)

開催場所: Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC)

中高生の部参加資格

(a) 現在、日本語を外国語として学習している中学生・高校生

(b) 6歳以後1年以上日本に継続滞在経験がないこと

(c) 過去に、本コンテスト中高生の部で優勝経験がないこと

コンテストグループ

次の2グループに分け、それぞれのグループでコンテストを行います。

グループ1:家庭で日本語を日常話さない(家庭に日本語を理解する人がいない)

グループ2:家庭で日本語を日常話す

参加の申込み

本コンテスト中高生の部は、各学校の推薦(全体最大25名)による参加申込みを受け付けます。参加申込み及び必要書類は、各校の教師による提出をお願いいたします。なお、お申込みに際しては大会規則を必ずご確認ください。

募集開始は8月19日(月) 参加申込みの締切は、2024年10月10日(木)午後5時必着です。

The 47th Annual Japanese Speech Contest

The Japanese American Association of Northern California (Hokka Nichi Bei Kai), the Northern California Japanese Teachers’ Association, and the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco are proud to present the 47th Annual Japanese Speech Contest this November at the JCCCNC located in San Francisco’s Japantown.

The primary objective of this contest is to encourage the learning and use of the Japanese language in our community, particularly among non-native speakers. This speech contest represents a fun and challenging way for students at all levels to demonstrate their language and communication skills. This event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, November 3, 2024 1:00 p.m.: Middle School and High School Students

Middle School and High School Student Division

ELIGIBILITY

An eligible contest participant must meet all of the following criteria:

(a) Is a middle or high school student currently studying Japanese as a foreign language

(b) Has not lived in Japan for more than 12 consecutive months after the age of six

(c) Has NOT previously won first prize in the Middle School and High School Student Division of this contest

CATEGORIES

Contestants will be divided into the following two categories:

Category 1: Contestants who come from homes where Japanese is not spoken (i.e., no members of the contestant’s family understand or speak Japanese).

Category 2: Contestants who come from homes where Japanese is spoken (i.e., there are members of the contestant’s family who understand or speak Japanese). This point applies to both native and non-native speakers of Japanese.

HOW TO APPLY

Each school may submit one (1) candidate and two (2) alternate candidates to the speech contest. Applications for this division should be submitted Online by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. If instructors do not receive an email confirming that their forms have been received within one (1) business day, please send us an email at hokka.nichibeikai@yahoo.com.

PRIZES
1st Place:           Winner’s trophy and certificate of achievement
