Invitation to a Special Workshop with Koji Oikawa: Online/In-person Opportunities 7/29/24 (Mon), 7/30/24 (Tues)

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Akiko Kashiwagi-Wood from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to a special Japanese Language Education Workshop featuring the renowned Koji Oikawa先生 ( 笈川幸司 Wikipedia; https://oikawakohji.com/). This event spans 1.5 days and includes a special talk by Oikawa-sensei (in-person or online streaming) on Monday, 7/29/2024, followed by an in-person teaching demonstration on 7/30/2024.
I am particularly inviting all of you to join the talk on 7/29/2024 (1PM-3PM Eastern Daylight Time) since it will be streamed online. For those who can attend the in-person teaching demonstrations in Novi, Michigan, I warmly welcome you! For the details of the entire 1.5-day event, please see the attached flyer.

Day 1: Talk by Oikawa-sensei (Online streaming or In-person)

Day 2: Teaching Demonstrations by Oikawa-sensei (In-person only)
Date: Tuesday, July 30, 2024
Teaching Demonstration (focus on speaking): 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Teaching Demonstration (focus on writing): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

About Mr. Koji Oikawa: With over 20 years of experience teaching Japanese in China, Mr. Oikawa has led numerous lectures, mock classes, and training sessions worldwide. He is the chairman of the NPO法人日本語スピーチ協会 and has received multiple accolades, including the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award (2021), selection as one of the 100 Most Respected Japanese People by Newsweek (2019), and the Foreign Minister’s Commendation (2016).

笈川幸司先生について: 中国で20年以上にわたり日本語を教え、世界各地で多くの講演や模擬授業、トレーニングを行う。NPO法人日本語スピーチ協会の会長を務め、文化庁長官表彰（2021年）、Newsweekによる「世界が尊敬する日本人100人」（2019年）、外務大臣表彰（2016年）など多くの賞を受賞している。
